Proposed maintenance works to the shrub areas at Abbots Lea

Dalton Piercy Parish Council would like to inform residents of proposed maintenance works to the shrub areas at Abbots Lea.

The existing shrubs have become significantly overgrown and are now in need of reduction. The Parish Council have been advised that the shrubs should be reduced to approximately knee height. This recommendation has been made to ensure the area can be more easily and safely maintained going forward.

Reducing the height of the shrubs will help discourage vermin from using the area for cover, which has become more likely due to the current density and height of the planting.

In addition, there is a eucalyptus tree within the area that is proposed to be felled. This recommendation has been made due to concerns regarding root  tracking.
